1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, password, and family profile data (children's names, ages, and challenges). We also collect usage data such as check-in responses, chat messages with Esther AI, learning path progress, and app interaction patterns. We collect device information including device type, operating system, and browser type for Service optimization.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and personalize the Service, including AI-generated parenting guidance; (b) track your TRICK score, streaks, and progress; (c) send notifications and reminders you've opted into; (d) improve our AI models and content quality; (e) process subscription payments; (f) communicate with you about your account and the Service; (g) analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the Service.
3. AI & Data Processing
Your chat messages and check-in data are processed by AI models (Google Gemini) to generate personalized parenting guidance. Your data is sent to Google's API for processing but is not used to train Google's models. We retain conversation data to provide conversation history features and improve response quality. You can delete your conversation history at any time from your profile settings.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: (a) service providers who process data on our behalf (cloud hosting, payment processing, AI API providers); (b) analytics partners in anonymized/aggregated form; (c) law enforcement when required by law. All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements that protect your information.
5. Children's Privacy
ParentingTRICK is designed for parents and caregivers aged 18 and older. While parents may enter information about their children (names, ages, challenges) to personalize the Service, children do not directly interact with the application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), secure authentication with hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Check-in history, chat messages, and learning progress are retained to provide the Service features. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) delete your data ("right to be forgotten"); (d) export your data in a portable format; (e) opt out of certain data processing; (f) withdraw consent. 9. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how the Service is used. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required by GDPR.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting an updated version on the Service and, where appropriate, by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
